 Had to snap this one quick!!

After dropping Samuel off at school this morning, I took Sarah and Caleb out to breakfast to the new(ish) diner in the village.  They were just thrilled that I still had the camera with me!!! 

  
You can tell it's morning.  And I loathe that shirt Caleb is wearing...just for the record!

We've all had a pretty great day today!!  Sarah and Caleb are looking forward to their first day of school next Monday when we're off on a field trip to Strong Museum!  We'll pick Sam up from school and take off from there.  Here's praying for a beautiful, fall-like day! 

Speaking of fall...I absolutely love fall.  No, I'm not in deep like with it, I love it!  Unfortunately, the parts of fall I love ~ the warm, balmy days...crisp, cool nights...changing leaves...firing up the wood stove after a long sleep...a favorite sweater...the first pot of homemade soup of the season ~ are fleeting.  The charm and ambiance of kicking one's way through a carpet of fallen leaves on a sun-drenched day come and go in the blink of an eye.  I truly wish I could hold on to it longer somehow.
